One Month old!

I turned one month old on Friday!  It is amazing how quickly time has passed since I came to this world! 

I enjoy eating and sleeping.  I don't enjoy getting to sleep, however.  I get air in my tummy fairly often--it's rather uncomfortable.  But Mommy helps me get it out.  I enjoy laying on my back on the floor--looking around at everything around me.  sometimes Mommy tries to put me in a seat that swings or a seat that vibrates---but I really don't like either one. 

When I eat--I spit up a lot.  It's been a while since I really "emptied" my stomach completely...but I spit up after every feeding.  I HATE being wiped off!  A cloth wiping against my mouth and neck---it's like they're trying to suffocate me! (not really--but I just don't like the feeling!)

I love my binkie.  It is comforting.  I enjoy being swaddled when I am tired, but when I'm awake and alert--I'd rather be open and blanketless---free to move about!

I am very toned.  I wish I had more control over my body.  I like to hold my head up to look around at everything.  I like tummy time overall--sometimes it's uncomfortable, but really--I like building the control.  I can't wait until I'm not so floppy anymore! (Note from mom: Kamryn was NEVER so toned.  Kyler really does seem anxious all of the time to move as much as possible.  Always arching his back and pushing his legs and arms, grasping my hair and clothes, etc.)

It's been a wonderful month on earth!

2 weeks!

Yesterday I turned 2 weeks old!  It's hard to believe 2 weeks have already passed by...but I heard Daddy say it feels like I've been here for months already! :)  (I'm sure it's just because I wake them up at night!) :)

I have gotten used to being swaddled.  I wasn't so fond of it when I was first born, but now I like it and it helps me to relax and sleep.  I enjoy eating--but have a lot of trouble with air in my tummy.   It is not fun at all.  Very uncomfortable.  Mommy has been giving me some sort of medicine after every time I eat now.  It seems to help the air go away faster...but not completely.  I still spit up here and there after each meal.

I eat about every 2 hours during the day. 

I eat about every 4 hours at night.  Last night was kind of a tough night, though.  I ate at midnight, finally fell asleep by 1:00.  Then I got up at 3:30 and was hungry.  I ate but couldn't fall asleep again until 4:45.  Then I woke up feeling very uncomfortable at 6:15.  Mommy picked me up, thinking I was going to eat again, but I burped twice and went right back to sleep!  It felt so good to get that air out.
I woke up for the day at 8:30--ready to eat.  Mommy had to go visiting teaching, so Kamryn and I stayed here with Daddy.  I tried to sleep, but was uncomfortable and restless...so I didn't sleep.  I ate again when Mommy got home (11:30) and then finally fell asleep for a nap at 12:30.  I slept till 2:30...but then was up again all afternoon!  I don't know what was wrong today---I just could not sleep!  Hopefully I'll be able to rest tonight.  If not, I'm sure that Mommy will say something to the Dr. at my 2 week appointment tomorrow morning!

I'm here!

I was born on April 14, 2010.  I have brown hair (looks kinda blonde on top), blue eyes.  

Weighed 6 lbs. 11 oz. and 19 inches long. 

I have a dimple in my chin, a dimple on each cheek, and I was born with a very defined crease on my frontal skull.

The night before I was born, I was kicking and moving a lot!  I was so excited to come out!  It was getting very squishy in there!

Mommy only had to go through 5 hours of labor with me...but felt NOTHING because of the epidural!  She was so excited about it!

When I came out, I hardly cried.  I was so sleepy!  I fell right asleep again when they were done poking and prodding me. 

I didn't pick up on eating really quickly.  I was too tired to latch on "correctly".  But I'm getting the hang of it!  Mommy is SO happy to not be pregnant anymore--she's alright with working  with me at the eating  thing! :)

Kyler Ryan Seamons

Your Daddy and I finally agreed and decided to call you Kyler. Daddy was having a hard time really committing, but he has decided that it will work and we love it! We can't wait to see the face that goes with it! See you in a couple of days! :)

20 days till your due date

Hey baby boy---so you are kicking and kicking like crazy lately. I can't help but think you are just trying to get out as soon as possible! (I wouldn't mind...I'll be honest!) :) I'm somewhat anxious for you to come this week because next week your Grammy and Grandad will be out of town (London) and won't be here to greet you! I've been a little hesitant the last few days, however, to try "natural labor inducing methods" because it IS a tad early. However...then I thought about it and I am already dilated 1.5 cm (at least) and effacing AND when I was this far along with your sister, the doctor said she would've come this week except she was posterior. SO...with that being said, and you facing the right direction, I am feeling at peace about you coming this week!

This morning I was having contractions 5 minutes apart for about 4 hours. (Went to Wal mart to help them continue). Then they all stopped... :( Probably a good thing because your daddy had to go to work this afternoon, but I was a little disappointed. However, I got in a good nap this afternoon and have been up and about, playing with Kamryn, and I'm ready for more contractions now! I can't wait to meet you! I think Daddy and I are going to have hot wings tonight to see if that will help you come sooner! We can't wait to meet you!

Everything is ready for you. We are all packed for the hospital, have the last few things we needed because of the Wal mart run this morning, and Kamryn was playing with a baby doll for a while this afternoon--- now all we need to decide on is what to name you!! I really really like Kasen...but your Daddy doesn't. However, in the past few weeks-Kyler has really grown on me. I think your Daddy is still skeptical...however, I have a feeling that Kyler will be what we will and can agree on! Daddy says he wants to see you first. I can live with that...I guess! :)

We love you! Can't wait to meet you! Send those contractions my way, ok?! :) (there's one right now... that was quick!) :)
